Harrison Hot Springs at a Glance
Harrison Hot Springs is a small village found 90 minutes east of Vancouver
in the scenic Fraser Valley.
It is located at the south end of Harrison
Lake, which is 60 km (40 mi) long and the largest body of fresh water in southwestern
British Columbia. The view
keeps photographers busy and the choice of other activities include relaxing in
the hot springs, boating, golfing, windsurfing and lounging on the sandy beach.
Birdwatchers look to the skies near Harrison Lake because it is a North American
hotspot for bald eagles. The nearby Sasquatch
Provincial Park provides even more oppoutunities for outdoor recreation. It
is a popular spot for both fishing and boating and is also home to hiking trails
and picnic areas. The Harrison Festival Society brings culture to the town through
numerous performing arts events including the Harrison
Festival of the Arts in July.
